Pull-Through Filmstrip
Materials Needed:
- film strip [Needs Pictures] (photocopy)
- frame pattern (photocopy)
Instructions:
Each child gets a strip of pictures from the story
of the day's lesson. They can color the pictures. They also get
a
framepage (which looks something like a television). The frame page has two slits on either side of the
screen, so that when the strip is threaded through the slits, exactly one picture from the strip shows in front of the frame at a time, and the others are hidden. By pulling the strip back and forth, the picture can be changed to show the different scenes from the lesson.
Help the children cut the two halves of the
filmstrip apart and attach them end to end. Have them
color the pictures from the lesson, then thread them
through the slits on the frame and show them how to
pull the strip along to show each picture.
